VFW and the 4 Impersonators

So the next morning, we checked out of our hotel, which I was sad to do. I could have stayed there another night just because the rooms were that awesome! But we checked out, and headed for the VFW post where we were performing. They had this nice little stage where we set up, and we started playing. We were doing a joint show with their dance troupe, the Happy Hoofers. What I didn't realize was that it was actually a show between us, the dance troupe, and 4 different impersonators: Cab Calloway, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, and Judy Garland. Only in Las Vegas! Anyway, the gig went really well, and we got some great experience performing with guest singers. And the veterans absolutely loved it! It looked like we were in a primarily Air Force crowd though, because when we played the Air Force portion of the service songs medley, a whole bunch of people stood up! It was really awesome! Anyway, after the gig we started the drive to Long Beach, California. The drive wasn't that bad. We stopped at a Big Boy's near Death Valley, California. Famous for the world's largest thermometer! After losing Band vs. Claw Machine, round 3, we left, and drove all the way to Long Beach. We all got a well deserved rest then, except for David and James - they went on to David's relatives' house to spend the night (I found out later that they slept on David's relatives' yacht and was extremely jealous).
